BJP resorted to ‘electoral fraud’ to win bypoll: Rakesh Tikai
Farmer leader & National spokesperson of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) Rakesh Tikait welcomed by party workers on his arrival to attend Kisan Mahapanchayat at Jhalwa ground, on Sunday
PRAYAGRAJ: Reacting sharply to BJP’s victory in Gola Gokarannath Assembly bypoll in Uttar Pradesh, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait on Sunday alleged that the saffron party has resorted to `electoral fraud’ to register its win in the by-election.
Tikait said, “Jab bhi chunavo mai beimani ki jayegi, toh natijo par koi asar nahin parehga (There would be no impact on election results until malpractices are not stopped). Tikait, who was in Sangam city on Sunday to address the Kisan Mahapanchayat held at Jhalwa, said, “BJP has been constantly registering its triumph in elections because it has governments both at centre and state. Moreover, the election commission, courts and officials are also working at their behest.
He further alleged that the entire state government was formed in UP through unfair means and the party has, this time too, managed to win UP byelection through unfair means.
Tikait added that BJP will be able to form its government at centre in 2024 parliamentary polls through the same unfair means.
“Though people don’t want to vote BJP, the party would be able to form government at the Centre. However, people in villages are armed with lathis to tackle the municipal polls,” he added. He further alleged that the government has no sympathy with farmers and it has the intention to grab the lands of farmers free of cost for the interest of industrialists. Tikait called upon all farmers to raise their voice and stage a stir to protect their lands. “The BJP government was least bothered about the problems of Kisan, Majdoor and women. It has done nothing for the betterment of farmers, despite the fact that they had earlier promised to make their income double,” the BKU national spokesperson said.
