Four-year-old boy killed in road accident

Coimbatore: A four-year-old boy was killed and his father was injured after an unidentified vehicle ran over them near the Vanabadrakaliamman temple at Mettupalayam on late Saturday night.
The deceased, V Yuvansai, was from Mathampalayam in Tirupur district. His father Vadivel, 37, works in a banian company.
“Vadivel’s family had reached the temple on Saturday night for the boy’s his ear-piercing ceremony on Sunday. They stayed in a hall in the temple. Around 11.30pm, Yuvansai asked his father to take him to attend nature’s call. When the father-son duo was crossing the road, a speeding vehicle hit them. Relatives rushed them to the Mettupalayam government hospital, but doctors declared the boy dead,” said a police officer. TNN
