SJVN(up 6.79%), Orient Green Power Company(up 5.20%), KPI Green Energy(up 5.06%), Inox Wind Energy(up 4.97%), RTNPOWER(up 4.88%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 4.65%), Transmission(up 4.37%), Jyoti Structures(up 3.47%), DPSC(up 3.36%) and NLC India(up 2.63%) stood among the top gainers.
Alstom T&D India(down 3.82%), Inox wind(down 3.45%), Karma Energy(down 2.21%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 2.00%), Indowind Energy(down 1.73%), Energy Development Company(down 0.81%), NTPC(down 0.62%), CESC(down 0.20%) and Torrent Power(down 0.01%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 85.65 points up at 18202.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 234.79 points at 61185.15.
Britannia Industries(up 8.81%), State Bank of India(up 3.4%), Adani Enterprises(up 3.32%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 2.79%), Eicher Motors(up 2.41%), Tata Motors(up 2.27%), Tata Steel(up 1.86%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.61%), Coal India(up 1.42%) and ICICI Bank(up 1.35%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 8.86%), Asian Paints(down 2.45%), Cipla(down 1.33%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.26%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.15%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.11%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.02%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.91%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.88%) and IndusInd Bank(down 0.74%) closed in the red.
