Punjab’s AQI drops a bit

Patiala: The air quality index (AQI) values of Punjab came down a bit on Sunday, but continued to be a challenge for the state. The average AQI of Punjab was recorded 168 of Sunday. On Saturday and Friday, it was 195 and 246, respectively. Amritsar and Ludhiana were the most polluted during the day. The AQI of both Ludhiana and Amritsar was 207, which falls in the ‘poor’ category. It was 146 in Mandi Gobindgarh, 130 in Patiala, 150 in Jalandhar, and 166 in Khanna.
