7,000 participate in Half Marathon 2022

KANPUR: People from all walks of life and age groups participated in the 'Half-Marathon 2022' organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Sunday.
The event witnessed participation of 7,000 runners to spread the message of cleanliness and health.
UP Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana and commissioner Raj Shekhar flagged off the event from the Green Park stadium.
In the 21-km race, the participants started from the Green Park, went to ISKCON Temple and then came back to the Green Park again. Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, Sanjay Kapur and CII chairman Vinamra Agarwal gave away prizes to the winners.
A prize of Rs one lakh and a bicycle were given to a Ballia resident Anil Kumar Yadav, who stood first in the race whereas other winners were given prizes of Rs 10000 in the first category, Rs 6,000 in the second and Rs 4,000 in the third category.
