Cops announce 50K reward for info on pistol used in attack
Dibrugarh: Dibrugarh Police has announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 in exchange for information related to the pistol used by assailants while attacking a court employee on October 31.
Siddhartha Rajkhowa, an employee of a Dibrugarh Court, was injured after he had been shot at by bike-borne assailants in Laluka area on NH-37 on the outskirts of Dibrugarh town. He was returning home on his bike.
Police have arrested four people — Pradipta Rajkhowa, Pradip Rajkhowa, Rontu Gogoi and Pronob Gogoi — in this connection. A blank cartridge fired from a .22 pistol was also recovered from the spot. However, till date the police have failed to recover the weapon.
“We have provided a phone number (6026901300) for providing information regarding the weapon,” said Dibrugarh SP Shwetank Mishra.
