Andhra Pradesh: Tamil Nadu devotee dies of cardiac arrest near Tirumala temple
The TTD vigilance staff immediately rushed the person to the Aswini hospital.
TIRUPATI: A 58-year-old devotee from Salem in Tamil Nadu died while standing in the queue lines for purchasing laddu prasadams near the Tirumala temple on Sunday.
According to the TTD vigilance and security officer Bali Reddy, the devotee identified as K Gopal (58), hailing from Tirumalagiri of Salem in Tamil Nadu arrived at Tirumala along with his family members yesterday.
After having the darshan of Lord Venkateswara at the Tirumala temple, the devotee went to the laddu counter, situated beside the main temple complex, to purchase laddus.
While he was standing in the queue line, he collapsed suddenly.
The TTD vigilance staff immediately rushed him to the Aswini hospital where doctors declared him dead. Doctors said that the devotee died of heart attack.
The Devasthanams arranged free transport for the family to take the body of the deceased devotee to his native place.
