Land-grab gang held, bombs found

Jaipur: The Jaipur police Saturday arrested nine members of a gang involved in encroaching on prized properties in the city and recovered a huge cache of petrol bombs.
DCP (East) Rajeev Pachar told TOI that nine petrol bombs and sticks were recovered from the accused during a raid by the Jawahar Circle police station. “The accused were working at the behest of a history sheeter based of Jhotwara,” added Pachar.
Police said the accused were planning to make their claim on a plot of land, and were all set to use weapons if they were challenged. “The gang has been busted and the accused are being interrogated,” Pachar said.
