Guwahati: The people of Guwhati will be able to witness the ending of both the total and partial phases of lunar eclipse on Tuesday. According to IMD’s Positional Astronomy Centre (Kolkata), the eclipse will begin at 2.39pm and will be total at 3.46pm.
For Guwahati, the duration of the total eclipse from moonrise time (4.34pm) up to its end is 38 minutes and that of the partial eclipse from moonrise is one hour and 45 minutes.
According to the Positional Astronomy Centre, the eclipse will be visible from all places in India at the time of moonrise. However, the beginning of the partial and total phases of the eclipse will not be visible from any place in India as the phenomena will be in progress before moonrise. While the ending of both the total and the partial phases will be visible from the eastern parts of the country, only the ending of the partial phase will be visible from the rest of the country.
