In strong show ahead of Gujarat and HP Assembly polls, BJP wins 4 out of seven seats in bypolls across 6 states

The BJP was able to win 4 out of 7 seats in the bypolls spread across 6 states. The party won one out of 2 seats in Bihar, one in Haryana, one in Odisha and one seat in UP. The party suffered a setback in Telangana where its bid to win the Munugode seat was unsuccessful, although it gave a strong fight to the ruling TRS. The bypoll result would come as a major disappointment to the Congress, as the party was nowhere in the fight, except in Haryana where it lost the Adampur seat to the BJP.
