Twitter's begins $8 monthly fee for blue tick verification service on iOS devices

In an update for iOS devices, Twitter said that the feature would be open to users in certain countries who sign up to its Twitter Blue service for $8 per month. The new Twitter policy has raised a new controversy, amid concerns that the platform could be swamped with fake accounts. Elon Musk took over Twitter this week and on Nov 4, he laid off almost half of the company's workforce.
