Mumbai: Police rescue abandoned newborn girl in Kandivli East

MUMBAI: An infant who was abandoned by her parents in SRA building received timely treatment after the police rescued her. Now stable, she has been moved to an orphanage and the police who have named her 'Angel', are keen to take care of her expenses.
It was on October 27, when she was found abandoned on the ground floor of SRA building at Kandivli East. "Her umbilical cord had not been clamped properly. She had developed an infection, and was critical," said senior inspector Narendra Shinde, Samta Nagar police.
