
UGC-NET 2022 Results LIVE Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the results of UGC-NET December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles) today. Candidates will be able to check the results at the official NTA website– ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The date was announced by the UGC Chairperson, M Jagadesh Kumar on his official Twitter handle.
The NTA has already released the answer key for the aforementioned exams. This year, the exam was conducted in four phases beginning on July 9 and ending on October 14. The first phase was conducted from July 9 to 12, the second phase from September 20 to 23, third phase from September 29 to October 4 and last phase from October 8 to 14.
The UGC-NET exam is conducted twice every year to determine the eligibility of candidates for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship’ in Indian institutions. This year, due to COVID-19 the December 2021 cycle got delayed, further delaying the June 2022 cycle. In order to regularise that, the NTA merged the cycles.
In 2021, a total of 1266509 candidates registered for UGC NET out of which 671288 appeared and 43730 qualified the exam. The exam was conducted for two merged cycles last year as well due to the pandemic
This year, the UGC NEt exam was conducted in four phases — the first phase was conducted from July 9 to 12, the second phase was held from September 20 to 23, phase three from September 29 to October 4 and the final phase from October 8 to 14.
UGC had announced that the validity of the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) award letter has been extended for a year. This decision was also taken in light of the challenges that scholars had to face amid the coronavirus outbreak.
NTA released the provisional answer key for the first three phases on October 18 while the provisional answer key for phase 3 was released on October 21. Candidates were given a window to challenge any answers given in the provisional answer key. After considering all the representations received, NTA released the final answer key on November 2.

Step 3: Log in either using application number and password or application number and date of birth.
Step 4: Check the results and download it for future reference
The UGC NET score card will have these details:
— Name of the candidate
— Paper 1 score
— Paper 2 score
— Maximum marks
Any dispute regarding the conduct of UGC-NET 2022 (December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles)) examination and results, should fall within the jurisdiction of Delhi or New Delhi only. Any legal dispute regarding the examination will be entertained only if it is raised within 30 days from the date of declaration of result.
The UGC NET eligibility certificate for Assistant Professors will be valid for the lifetime of the candidate. However, candidates should remember that the JRF letter that is awarded will only be valid for four years, commencing from the day of the issue of the award letter.

The number of candidates to be qualified shall be equal to 6 per cent of the candidates who appeared in both the papers of NET. Aspirants should have appeared for both the papers and secured at least 40 per cent aggregate marks in both papers taken together for general and general-EWS categories. And, it should be 35 per cent aggregate marks in both papers taken together for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), PwD and third gender).
As per the latest update, the UGC NET 2022 Result will be declared on November 5, however, there is no update on the result declaration time. Once released, candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the official website - ugcnet.nta.nic.in
