GUMLA: Three persons were arrested for allegedly shooting at a 20-year-old man at Tati Chowk of Kuru block in Lohardaga district on Friday.
The injured was identified as Amar Paswan of Tati village under Kuru police station limits. He was admitted to a private hospital in Ranchi for treatment. Paswan ran a common service centre for Punjab National Bank at Tati Chowk.
The three men barged into Paswan's office to commit robbery around 10.45 am. When he objected and snatched the keys of the motorcycle in which the robbers came, two of the criminals opened fire at him. While one bullet missed Paswan and hit a door, other perforated his abdomen.
"Hearing gunshots, local residents came out and held one of the three men and informed the police. The other two attempted to escape, but we caught them," Kuru police station in-charge Abhinav Kumar said.
Lohardaga SP R Ramkumar said: "A probe is on. Stern action will be taken against the criminals."
