VARANASI: In order to improve the health services in the district, the second health automated machine (ATM) has been made functional at the urban community health centre in Chowkaghat area. The UP minister (independent charge) Ravindra Jaiswal inaugurated this facility on Thursday. The minister first underwent the health test at the ATM on the occasion.
Jaiswal said that just as money is withdrawn from the bank’s ATM, in the same way patients will get complete information about their health in a few minutes from the health ATM. The patients will not have to travel far from home for common health test through this machine in less time.
The minister said that the district has received three health ATMs from the government. A health ATM has started functioning in Baragaon area recently and soon another health ATM will be installed at the Durgakund CHC. He said that free facility of 59 types of tests will be available through this machine. One health ATM will be set up at each health centre depending on the success of the facility, he added.
CMO Dr Sandeep Choudhary said that many important tests including that of blood pressure, sugar, haemoglobin, weight, height, body temperature, oxygen content in the body, body mass index, metabolic age, body fat, dehydration, pulse rate, muscle mass will be done with this facility.
