RAJKOT: Four people including two women were injured after a leopard attacked them in Shivad village of Dahri taluka in Amreli district on Thursday morning.
According to forest officials, one of the leopard attack victims, Govind, was saved by his wife who attacked the wild animal with a shovel.
Forest officials said that the leopard attacked Mahesh Valjibhai (22), Vajiben Ramjibhai (19) and Jalpa Bhupatbhai and Govind when they were working in a farm.
Govind’s wife, who was also working there, hit the leopard with a shovel and knocked it unconscious.
Later the forest officials rescued the leopard and sent it for treatment at animal care centre. According to forest officials, the injured persons were stable.
