Gurugram: Bouncers thrash forest official, 4 others; booked

GURUGRAM: A forest department official and his friends were allegedly thrashed by bouncers outside a club in a mall on MG Road on Monday night. The victims suffered injuries and were admitted to Civil Hospital.
According to the police, range officer of the Nuh forest department Dev Kumar told them that he and his four friends went to a club on Monday night. Upon leaving the club, one of them forgot his phone inside and Kumar went inside to get the phone, while others waited outside, he said.
"It was when a man named Manjeet, claiming himself to be one of the staffers came and started arguing with them. Meanwhile, some bouncers from another club came and thrashed us. The bouncers even threatened to kill us," Kumar told police.
An FIR has been registered at Sector 29 police station under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 34 (common intention) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
The police said that they received the complaint on November 1 on some altercation outside the club in Sahara mall. However, the police didn't file the FIR immediately and went on to check the CCTV footage.
"We are investigating the matter. The reason behind the altercation is not known as of now. However, CCTV footage has been scanned and the bouncers are being identified," said a police offiicial.
