President inaugurates Rs 63.69 crore projects in Mizoram

AIZAWL: President Droupadi Murmu, who is on a two-day maiden visit to Mizoram, on Thursday inaugurated a number of projects worth over Rs 63.69 crore and attended the 17th convocation of Mizoram University in Tanhril near Aizawl.
Murmu, who arrived at Lengpui airport in the afternoon, directly landed at Mizoram University where she inaugurated the administrative and academic buildings of the new campus of the Government Aizawl College, a cluster of academic blocks of the Pachhunga University College, Tribal Girl Students' Hostel at Mizoram University and Rural Tribal Girls' Hostel at nearby Sairang village. The inaugurated projects cost over Rs 2,368.64 crore.
She also inaugurated the permanent Indian Institute of Mass Communication's northeastern regional campus located inside Mizoram University built at a cost of Rs 25 crore.
