The NSE Nifty index closed 64.45 points up at 18117.15, while BSE Sensex ended up 113.95 points at 60950.36.
On the other hand, .(down 2.17 per cent), .(down 1.46 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.23 per cent) and .(down 1.12 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
