Kidnapped designer from Mumbai rescued from Gujarat

MUMBAI: A 43-year-old designer who had been kidnapped from Mumbai and taken to Gujarat by four men was safely rescued by a team of Dindoshi police on Friday.
Police are still investigating the motive and questioning the accused.
Around 3pm on Thursday, the Mumbai Police control room was alerted about the kidnapping of designer Hariomsharan Mishra and passed the message to the Dindoshi police.
Investigators spoke to his wife and confirmed that Mishra had been kidnapped from outside A-1 restaurant on Daftary Road, Malad East.
The four accused had bundled him into a waiting car and drove away. Police tracked down Mishra's phone location and learnt that he was in Gujarat.
They then touched base with the Vapi crime branch in Gujarat and tracked down the vehicle. The four accused were taken into custody and Mishra was rescued on Friday morning. The accused were brought to Mumbai where they have been slapped with kidnapping charges.
Mishra is a resident of Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh.
