JAIPUR: Gandhi Nagar, Mansarovar, Swej Farm and Walled City are some of the areas which reported dengue in increased numbers.
Not only Jaipur has witnessed a rise in dengue cases, but also several other districts of the state reported increase in dengue cases in the past seven days.
The dengue cases have increased from 8,100 to 9,061, adding 961 cases within 7 days.
State’s 10.6% of the dengue cases have been reported in the past seven days which shows the pace at which they have increased after Diwali. The health department is taking measures to prevent the spread of dengue by conducting anti–larvae activities, door-to-door survey and by making people aware about the vector –borne diseases, said a health department official.
Jaipur is the worst-affected district due to dengue as out of 9,061 cases in the state, the Pink City logged 3,485 cases, accounting for 38.5% of the state’s cases reported in 2022 (January 1 to November 3). With dengue cases rising, doctors urged people to take precautions.
