Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district administration has initiated the process of attaching the properties of three more illegal slaughterhouses in Mangaluru City South constituency.
Mangaluru City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath said an order has been issued to attach the properties of illegal slaughterhouses at Pakkaladka, Kattapuni, both near Bajal and Jalligudde. “The court has already given permission to go ahead with the process attaching the properties in case illegal cow slaughter continues even after the implementation of The Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act-2020. So steps are being taken to attach the properties of those who are engaged in cow theft and illegal slaughtering. Action will continue against those who violate the rules,” Kamath said.

Madan Mohan issued an order to attach the properties of those who were slaughtering cows illegally as per the Sections 8(4) and 8(5) of the Act.
Recently, the properties of illegal slaughterhouses at Katipalla, Arkula and Ganjimutt in Mangaluru North constituency were attached and transferred to the revenue department as per the provisions of the Act.
