Two minor siblings electrocuted, grandpa injured in Pratapgarh

Prayagraj: Two minor siblings were electrocuted and their grandfather sustained injuries while making an abortive bid to save them at Baghwai Kam Singh Ka Purva village under the limits of Maheshganj police station of Pratapgarh district on Thursday.
The incident, as per reports, took place when the minors identified as Ansh (11) and his sister Anshika (9) were going to give water to their grandfather Ram Asre who was working in a field.
The kids came in contact with a broken electric cable wire and sustained severe injuries. After noticing their grandson and daughter injured, the grandfather raised an alarm and also came in contact with cable wire while making an abortive bid to save them.
The villagers somehow managed to take the injured persons to Kunda community health centre where both the kids were declared brought dead by the doctors. The family members brought the bodies of both kids at home.
On being contacted, inspector of Maheshganj police station said that family members have not given any information to local police and took the bodies to their home.
