Prayagraj: Sangam City reported 39 fresh dengue cases on Thursday taking the caseload to 977 so far this year.
Health officials claimed that 919 patients have recovered while 58 others are undergoing treatment and six have died so far.
A senior health official said the patients, who tested positive for dengue on Thursday, are aged between 10 and 65 years. He added of the 58 active cases 31 are hospitalized while 27 are recupearting at home.
Officials advised citizens to take all precautionary measures to check the breeding of mosquitoes around their surroundings. They added that anti-larva spraying has been intensified in localities and colonies where dengue cases were reported. Besides, health teams are also conducting fever survey.
