Rajasthan: Barmer cousins skip school, leave for Delhi to be models
JAISALMER: In a bid to escape from studies and to become models, two class-10 cousins from Purnia Ka Tala village in Barmer district on Tuesday skipped school and went on a trip to Jodhpur and from there to Delhi by train. It was only after 30 hours on Wednesday night, the two students were detained in Delhi and will be brought to Barmer.
The family members got tensed when they came to know that their children did not reach the school. A missing report was lodged at Gida police station.
According to the police, the two cousins on Tuesday morning left for the school and reached Kanod where they kept their school bags in a shop and reached Baytu. Later both of them went on their trip by train. The brother of one of the two children who is also a student of class 10 informed the elders that the duo had asked him to accompany them but he refused.
With the help of railway police and CCTV footage both were caught in Delhi. They were seen at Jodhpur railway station in the CCTV footage. When they were questioned by Delhi cops, they said they had come to see the city. Police contacted the local police and informed them. The duo underwent medical tests also.
