Teachers, staff protest at GNDEC

Ludhiana: The faculty and staff of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC), Gill Chowk protested at the college campus along with the GNDEC teachers’s and non-teaching associations.
It was aimed at immediate implementation of the new pay scales, release of pending DA instalments of 6%, regularisation of contractual staff, release of pending increments to regular and contractual staff, immediate grant of promotions from due date under career advancement scheme (CAS) and assured career progression (ACP), as well as grant of full benefits to newly regularised faculty and staff.
Teaching staff president Deepinder Singh said, “It's been almost 18 days that we are protesting for our demands,.”
