A 24-year-old UP bridegroom crushed his aunt fatally and knocked down four more of his relatives Tuesday night while taking a test drive of a new car gifted to him by his bride's family after his pre-wedding 'tilak' ceremony at Akbarpur village of Etawah district.Police sources said the bridegroom, Arun Kumar, doesn't know how to drive. Posted as a PAC jawan in Fatehpur district, Kumar's wedding has been fixed with a woman from Auraiya. After the 'tilak' ceremony, the bride's family gave him the keys of a car to Kumar, who decided to take a test drive despite never ever being behind the wheel of any vehicle.

Manipur cop critical after he 'shoots self' with service rifle
A 37-year-old commando of Manipur Police allegedly shot himself with his service rifle while he was on duty in the Charangpat area of Thoubal district on Tuesday morning.He has been identified as Mohd Sahidur, a resident of Yairipok area in the same district. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Imphal and his condition is stated to be critical.
3 antiviral molecules for Covid discovered in IIT-Roorkee
Researchers at IIT-Roorkee have claimed to have identified three antiviral molecules that can be used effectively to treat Covid-19 infection.The researchers said they had identified the molecules through "drug repurposing, computational and antiviral experimental studies." Drug repurposing (DR) is a strategy for identifying 'new use' of approved or investigational drugs on other diseases. The institute had collaborated with Sweden-based Karolinska Institutet for the research.
