JAIPUR: Under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen, a survey will be conducted to ensure toilets for women are built at police stations in rural areas across the state, said additional chief secretary (ACS), rural development and panchayati raj department, Abhay Kumar while giving directions to the officials of the department.
Kumar said this while reviewing various schemes being run in the state under the watershed development and land conservation department and Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural).
Kumar also directed that maximum coordination and convergence should be done with Rajeevika and MGNREGA schemes in watershed works. Also, an ideal model of pasture development in MGNREGA through watersheds should be prepared, he said.
Kumar said there was a need to make people belonging to economically weaker sections aware about the benefits of solid and liquid management through IEC (information, education and communication). While reviewing the progress of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (watershed component) and Rajiv Gandhi Jal Sanchay Yojana, Kumar gave instructions that the schemes should be operated as per the prescribed timeline.
Secretary, panchayati raj department, Naveen Jain informed the ACS about “Integrated GI Based Real Time Monitoring System” related to impact assessment of watershed plans, data collection, processing and mapping of watershed works done in the state through GIS.
Jain also gave a presentation informing the ACS about bringing villages under ODF (open defecation free).
