40 injured after bee attack

Mandya: More than 40 people, including children, suffered injuries after a swarm of bees attacked them in Harohalli in Pandavapura taluk in Mandya district in the night on Wednesday. The incident occurred during the cremation ceremony of a villager who passed away in the night on Tuesday. The incense sticks being used at the ceremony reportedly attracted the bees, nesting at a nearby tree. The injured individuals were rushed to the government hospital in Pandavapura town, where they received primary treatment. Authorities confirmed that all those who sustained injuries had been discharged.
Asst commissioners transferred in state
Mandya: HS Keerthana, an IAS officer, took charge as the new assistant commissioner of the Mandya sub-division on Wednesday. She succeeds R Aishwarya, who has been transferred by the state government. Keerthana is a 2020 batch IAS officer, who completed her training in Bidar. Soon after taking charge, Keerthana said that Mandya had earned for itself the reputation of being a land of sugar.Meanwhile, Ruchi Bindal, also a 2020 batch IAS officer, has been posted as the assistant commissioner of the Hunsur sub-division. Anmol Jain, on the other hand, has been named assistant commissioner of Sakleshpur sub-division, while Nongai Mohammed Ali Akram Shah has been appointed Pandavapura sub-division assistant commissioner.
NCC cadets clean old age home in Mysuru
Mysuru: Cadets of the 14th Karnataka National Cadet Corps (NCC) Battalion of Excel Public School recently cleaned the premises of ‘Home For The Aged’ on Mahadevapura Road in Gandhinagar. The old age home, which is run by Little Sister of The Poor, is home to around 110 elderly citizens. The cadets also interacted with the elderly, and presented them with food, clothes, and hygienic products. The cadets also amused the elderly citizens at the home with a cultural show. The elderly were effusive in their appreciation of the efforts of the cadets.
