Noida schools to conduct online classes till Nov 8 due to poor air quality

NOIDA: In view of the deteriorating air quality in the National Capital Region, schools in Noida and Greater Noida have shifted to online classes as a precautionary measure.
According to an official order, all schools in Noida and Greater Noida were Thursday asked to hold classes online for students up to Class 8 till Tuesday, November 8, 2022 due to rising pollution in the National Capital Region (NCR).
The air quality is getting severe day by day which is hazardous to health so the Noida authorities have decided to closed down the school and asked school authorities to switch to online mode keeping in view the present condition which can be harmful for the students.
As per the ANI report, The District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) for Gautam Buddh Nagar, Dharmveer Singh, also advised the schools to hold online classes for the students of Class 9 to 12 as much as possible.
Even advised to avoid any kind of outdoor or any sport activity until the further notice, he further added.
As per District Inspector, Gautam Buddh Nagar has around 1,800 schools including higher education centres, spread across Noida and Greater Noida.

Meanwhile in Delhi, the Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Wednesday said that the Delhi Schools would be closed as and when the AQI levels cross the 450 mark. Gopal Rai further said that the decision to close schools would be taken in accordance with the next level of GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan). As the AQI exceeded the 450-mark today, Delhi government is also expected to make a formal announcement in this regard.
The poor air quality in the national capital and NCR region is affecting children badly and almost eight out of ten children in the hospital are coming up with respiratory problems.
