Telangana: Choose arch enemy, clarify on fighting BJP, KT Rama Rao tells Rahul Gandhi

HYDERABAD: Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi for his comments on KCR’s national plans by launching Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), TRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday said that KCR can float a party even in China. KTR said that the Congress MP should first decide who the principal enemy was before his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ exits Telangana.
“The Congress should decide whether it wants to fight BJP or skip,” KTR said, adding that Rahul’s walkathon will only help the Congress MP in staying fit and nothing more.
“Instead of trying to win the battlefield of Gujarat where assembly elections are due, Rahul Gandhi is on a walkathon in other states. Why is he not going to Gujarat? Is he scared of Modi or BJP?,” KTR said during a media interaction on Wednesday. KTR said that PM Modi has been frequenting Gujarat in the past several months and even AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal had visited the PM’s home state.
He also claimed that unlike Rahul, the TRS was clear on its stand on state and central issues. Modi is anti-poor and every policy of the Centre is dangerous and a threat to the poor. The TRS will continue its fight against BJP, he said. He also found fault with the Congress on its stance on ED raids in various states.
“When ED summoned Rahul and Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case, the party made a hue and cry over it and alleged the Centre was abusing central investigating agencies. But they are now deriving sadistic pleasure when it is happening to other party leaders in various states. The party should first end this dual policy,” he said.
He dismissed the allegation by the Congress leader that TRS has a secret understanding with BJP. KTR said that not just TRS, but Congress too had supported GST Bill. He
