Thiruvananthapuram: The passengers and driver of a KSRTC bus were injured after the wings of an aeroplane hit the bus while being transported in a trailer truck at Balaramapuram Junction on Wednesday morning.
Five passengers and the driver have been admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital with injuries.

An Airbus A-320 was lying idle at the hangar unit of Thiruvananthapuram airport after 30 years of flying. For four years, the engineering students were using it for academic purposes. Recently, it became unfit for studies also.
Following it, a decision was taken for selling it through auction at scrap price. A Hyderabad-based man bought it for Rs 75 lakh and he was taking it to his native in the trailer.
When it reached the junction, the wings of the plane hit the KSRTC bus and its front portion got damaged completely.
The Balaramapuram police registered a case against the driver of the vehicle and the owner of the plane for transporting it without following safety norms.
After the accident, the driver tried to escape and traffic snarled for hours on the road.
The aeroplane was transported by dismantling it into four parts in four trailers.
Police have seized the vehicle and the driver was allowed to go on station bail after taking into custody on bailable charges.
Police said the injured passengers and the driver were discharged after giving necessary medical care at the hospital.
