Watch: Video of girl ziplining to cross river to reach school moves internet

A video that has gone viral on social media and touched the hearts of netizens shows a little school girl using a makeshift zipline to cross a river in order to attend her school.
In the undated 26-second-long video from an unidentified location, one can see a girl in a school uniform, who is holding a net which is tied to a rope that is attached to a tree on the other end of the river.

The girl then uses this makeshift zipline to cross an overflowing river as another girl on the other side of the river waits for her. The girl does all of this without wearing any safety equipment.
Digital columnist Vala Afshar tweeted the video with a caption that reads, “We are very fortunate to live in a country where access to education is reasonably available to most. In some parts of the world, children will risk their lives just to get to school.”

The video went viral with over 3.1 million views and 25k retweets. The struggles of the girl to avail something as basic as education, and the way she endangers herself to go to school made netizens emotional and melted their hearts.
“While some people have full opportunities and do nothing,” read one comment.

“Taking education is such a struggle,” another user commented, urging the PM to ensure basic infrastructure that helps all children get to school.
