Motorized wheelchair at Vadodara stn

Vadodara: Vadodara railway station on Wednesday launched motorized stair climber wheelchair facility. It was launched by Vadodara MP Ranjan Bhatt.
According to railway officials, Vadodara station has become the first such station in the country to house such a facility.
The facility will help the elderly and the disabled to reach one platform to another without stepping on the stairs and board a train with ease.
The officials said although there are lifts and escalators at the railway station, not all the platforms are equipped due to technical reasons.
The new facility will help passengers reach platforms that are not equipped with lifts or escalators.
