Six pairs of trains cancelled under Chakradharpur div from today

Jamshedpur: Railways has cancelled and short-terminated a few trains on the Tatanagar-Barbil section under the Chakradharpur division between November 3 and 8 due to infrastructure installation work.
An official with the Chakradharpur divisional railway said non-interlocking work will take place at Dangoaposi yard for the commissioning of the third line between Rajkharsawan and Dangoaposi stations. Hence, six pairs of trains (up and down) have been either cancelled or short-terminated.
Tatanagar-Visakhapatnam superfast weekly special (20815) will remain cancelled on November 7, while the Visakhapatnam-Tatanagar superfast (2816) will not run on November 6. Further, Tatanagar-Gua DEMU (08133/08134) will not run from November 3 to 7 on the up and down line.
“The work related to laying of the third line is going on at speed on Howrah-Mumbai route, due to which passenger trains are being cancelled or short terminated on regular basis,” senior divisional commercial manager Manish Pathak said.
