KCA’s women cricket team beat Agra by six wickets
Kanpur: Kanpur Cricket Association’s (KCAs) women cricket team defeated Agra by 6 wickets and entered the semi-final of All India Jagran Women Cricket championship held in the Lalitpur stadium on Wednesday.
Batting first, Agra women posted a total of 7 for 114 in 20 overs. Arushi Goel and Anjali Singh were the main scorers who contributed 46 and 2 runs respectively. In reply, KCA could not get the required start as they lost their top three wickets on mere 43 runs. Babita (51 no) and Aporva Chandravanshi stemmed the rot and added 60 runs in 53 balls in their unbeaten partnership. Babita hit unbeaten 51 runs plundering 6 boundaries and a six in 54 balls). While Aporva contributed 32 runs, Babita after the match was elected as player of the match.

Earlier, Kanpur had defeated Gwalior by 7 runs on Tuesday.

Talent Hunt cricket: KCA C outplayed KCA A by 5 wickets in an under- 14 talent hunt cricket tournament match held at the Sapru ground on Wednesday. KCA A, batting first, posted 8 for 124 runs in 40 overs and in reply KCA C scored 127 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 40 overs.
