Unstable man stones woman, child in city

Jaipur: A man attacked a woman after repeatedly hitting her with stones in Vidyadhar Nagar here.
Police said the incident took place on October 27, but the FIR was registered on Tuesday.
Police said that Gayatri Arya sustained severe injuries and underwent treatment in a hospital. Police said that the woman sustained head injuries while the accused remains at large.
SHO Vidyadhar Nagar Virendra Kureel said the suspect appears to be a middle-aged person with mental problems. He said the suspect had been apprehended last year and was sent to a hospital for treatment.
As per the FIR, Arya was riding a scooter with her daughter. They were going to the Hanuman temple in Vidyadhar Nagar when the accused threw stones at Arya.
Even after she fell on the road, the accused kept throwing stones at her till she was knocked unconscious. As per the FIR, one of the stones also hit Arya’s daughter. She was taken to hospital for treatment. Kureel told TOI that the Jaipur police are searching for the accused around Vidyadhar Nagar area.
Police sources said they have formed a special team to scan CCTVs around multiple areas near Ambabari and Vidyadhar Nagar.
