As employees struggle to get leaves, D2C home brand Wakefit.co has rolled out a ‘No Questions Asked’ Wellness Leave Policy for its employees.

Once a month, no questions

The Wellness Leave Policy extends a no-questions-asked leave to all the employees once a month, the company said.

Unwind and rejuvenate

Employees of Wakefit can avail these leaves for their physical, mental, or emotional wellbeing by taking time off to unwind and rejuvenate.

Leisurely activities

The company further said that this leave can be availed by employees once a month to indulge in any leisurely activity of their preference.

Aim at holistic growth

The move has been taken to "empower the company's workforce by instilling a wellness-positive practice that contributes to their holistic growth".

Indians scared to ask

A 1028 survey had revealed that close to 30% of the Indian workforce are unable to summon the courage to ask for leave.

The survey also revealed that a large share of employees believe that holidays are frowned upon or discouraged by their workplace.

Other initiatives

Wakefit had also introduced a ‘Right to Nap’ policy in May 2022 to enable employees to take a power nap between 2 and 2:30 pm.
