
UGC NET 2022 Result Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday released the UGC NET 2022 final answer key at its official website. The results for UGC-NET for December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles) are expected to release soon. Candidates who appeared for the UGC NET examination will be able to check results at – ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
This year, the exam was conducted in four phases — the first phase was conducted from July 9 to 12, the second phase was held from September 20 to 23, phase three from September 29 to October 4 and the final phase from October 8 to 14.
UGC-NET is a test to determine the eligibility of aspiring candidates for the posts of Assistant Professors and Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. This eligibility exam is conducted twice every year.
The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professorship are awarded to candidates depending on their aggregate performance in paper 1 and 2 of UGC-NET. Candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professorship are not to be considered for the awarding of JRF.
The upper age limit for Junior Research Fellowship is 31 years (for the December 2021 and June 2022 cycles only). There will be age relaxation of up to 5 years for candidates belonging to OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender categories and women applicants will get an age relaxation of up to 5 years.
Candidates will research experience will also be provided with age relaxation, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant / related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority.
The candidates with LLM degree with be permissible for an age relaxation of three years relaxation. A relaxation of upto 5 years is provided to the candidates who have served in the armed forces.
There is no upper age limit for applying to UGC-NET for Assistant Professor
The December 2021 amd June 2022 cycles were merged due to the postponement of December 2021 due to COVID-19, further delaying the schedule oj June 2022 cycle. In order to regularise the exam cycles, NTA merged both the cycles.
Once released, candidates can download their results at the official website – ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Click on the link reading, ‘display of results and final answer key’. Log in by entering your credentials either using application number and password or application number and date of birth. Check the results and download it for future reference.
The UGC NET December 2021-June 2022 (merged cycles) exams were conducted in 541 centres across the country. This year the exam was conducted in four phases beginning from September 23 to ending on October 14

Any dispute regarding the conduct of UGC-NET 2022 (December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles)) examination and results, should fall within the jurisdiction of Delhi or New Delhi only. Any legal dispute regarding the examination will be entertained only if it is raised within 30 days from the date of declaration of result.
The NTA will preserve the record of December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles) of UGC-NET 2022 up to 90 days from the date of declaration of result. The date of results is not announced yet.
Once the results are announced, there will be no re-evaluation or re-checking of it. The UGC will not entertain any request in this regard. The Commission has already published the final answer key, candidates can match their answers to the key given.

The UGC NET score card will have these details:

The number of candidates to be qualified shall be equal to 6 per cent of the candidates who appeared in both the papers of NET. Aspirants should have appeared for both the papers and secured at least 40 per cent aggregate marks in both papers taken together for general and general-EWS categories. And, it should be 35 per cent aggregate marks in both papers taken together for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), PwD and third gender).
Candidates who appeared for the UGC NET exam can check their score cards at the official UGC NET website – ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The UGC NET eligibility certificate for Assistant Professors will be valid for the lifetime of the candidate. However, candidates should remember that the JRF letter that is awarded will only be valid for four years, commencing from the day of the issue of the award letter.

The name on the photo identification must match with the name as shown on the Admit Card.
If the name has been changed due to events such as marriage, candidates must show the relevant document at the time of exam. Marriage Certificate / Divorce / Decree / Legal Name Change Document.

Candidates who belong to general/unreserved/general-EWS categories can apply for UGC-NET if they have 55 per cent or more in their Master’s degree or equivalent examination in Humanities and Social Science (including languages), computer science and application, electronic science etc… from institutions recognised by the UGC. Candidates belonging to OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender categories should have at least 50 per cent in their Master’s or equivalent examination.
Due to COVID-19, the UGC-NET exam for December 2021 cycle further delaying the schedule of June 2022 UGC-NET, to regularise it, the authorities merged both cycles (December 2021 and June 2022).
