Chandrapur: Maharashtra forest minister, who is also guardian minister of Chandrapur, Sudhir Mungantiwar has directed the Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) officials to settle the issue of rehabilitation of Bhatali village at the earliest.
Mungantiwar held a meeting in Nagpur do discuss rehabilitation of the village located on the fringe of forest in Chandrapur. He claimed Bhatali residents are keen on rehabilitation following large scale acquisition of land in and around the village for mining purpose. He directed the officers to expedite the process and conduct necessary survey at the earliest.
The meeting was attended by chairman-cum-managing director of WCL Manoj Kumar, collector Vinay Gauda, deputy collector (rehabilitation) Vishal Kumar, senior officers of WCL and Bhatali residents.
