3 assault man out on bail with iron rods

Thane: A 26-year-old murder accused out on bail was attacked with iron rods by three persons who were seeking revenge for their friend’s murder. The complainant Sumit Singh 26, a resident of Vartak Nagar, sustained severe injuries. Singh was arrested for the murder of Prashant Sonar in the Wagle estate area of Thane in 2017. The deceased’s friend, Sagar Rawal attacked Singh around 11.45 pm, the police said. Singh was eating snacks at Cadbury naka where three persons came on a bike and began to assault him. They had also brought an iron rod and hit him on his head. They beat up Singh until he fell unconscious.
