Gurugram: Road to drain, four projects worth Rs 6.3 crore get MCG nod

GURUGRAM: In its last meeting before its term ends on November 2, the finance and contracts committee (F&CC) of the MCG approved four development projects in the city amounting a total of Rs 6.3 crore.
The panel has approved the construction of a road from the government college in Sector 9 to the stretch dividing sectors 9 and 9A, which is estimated to cost Rs 1 crore. Another project of constructing a box drain in the Sector 34 marble market, estimated to cost Rs 2.1 crore, also got the committee’s nod.
“I have directed officials to ensure that the quality of construction is checked regularly at all phases of construction. Officials were also directed to regularly visit the project sites once work begins. They will also have to ensure that the projects are completed in a timely manner,” mayor Madhu Azad said.
The MCG committee also approved a project for laying water supply pipelines in Ashok Vihar Phase 3, which will cost Rs 1.9 crore. The Rs 1.1 crore project of installation of interlocking tiles from Sector 9 chowk to Surya Vihar was also approved.
