RANCHI: Chief minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday inspected the construction of Yogda Satsang-Kanta Toli-Kokar flyover and directed the authorities to coordinate with each other for timely completion of the project.
The 2,240-metre-long bridge is expected to be completed by April 2024.
Soren asked the Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (JUIDCO) to resolve the issues related to land acquisition and removal of encroachment by November 30. He added that the electricity pole shifting should be completed by December 15 so that there is no hurdle in the way.
He said the work should not slow down owing to minor hindrances and asked Ranchi deputy commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha to ensure adequate supply of sand for the project.
The CM also asked the officials to ensure that residents do not face inconveniences due to the project while saying that the diversion road should be of good quality. He directed the construction company to build junctions where necessary to prevent traffic snarls. He further said that focus should be on time schedule and quality of work.
The JUIDCO and the construction company officials made a presentation on the work progress.
Several senior officers, including chief secretary Sukhdev Singh, CM’s principal secretary Rajiv Arun Ekka and secretary Vinay Chaubey were present on the occasion.
