HYDERABAD: A local Telangana TDP leader was arrested on Tuesday for forging documents to claim ownership of a flat in Journalist Colony in Jubilee Hills.
Police had registered a case in August against GV Gyaneswar Naidu, city general secretary of TDP, based on a complaint of Mumbai-based businessman Rounak who owns the flat.
Probe revealed that Rounak had purchased the 2,800 sq ft flat in 2013. Naidu subsequently forged a sale deed along with three cash receipts having forged signatures of Rounak to claim the latter had sold him the flat in 2013. The forgery was established after handwriting scrutiny by FSL.
