JAIPUR: Model code of conduct for rural came into force from Monday in all constituencies in Jaipur where for four sarpanches, five vice sarpanches and 46 ward sarpanches would be held on November 25.
"We are going to conduct polls for the posts of five deputy sarpanches, four sarpanches and 46 ward panches. The elections of sarpanches would be conducted through EVMs and by-elections for the other two posts will be conducted through ballot papers," said district collector Prakash Rajpurohit who is also the district election officer.
Nomination papers for these elections will be submitted on November 19 from 10 am to 5 pm and the scrutiny of the nomination papers will be done on November 20. After this the allotment of election symbols and the list of contesting candidates will be published. "The voting process will continue from 8 am to 5 pm on November 25 and the poll results will be declared at the respective panchayat headquarters on the same day," a press release added.
Poll leave: By-poll for the Adampur MLA constituency in Haryana is scheduled on November 3, 2022. District election officer, Jaipur, Prakash Rajpurohit has order for paid holidays for all Jaipur district officers, who are registered voters of the constituency, on the polling day.
