Thane: 4 Mahuli fort trekkers lose way, rescued

THANE: Four of the 11 tourists from Thane and Airoli in Navi Mumbai who had gone for the Mahuli Fort trek lost their way due to a lack of directional information board at the hill. The local rescue team which learnt about the four tourists stuck on a hill rescued them after eight hours’ search operation in the late night on Monday, forest officials said.
The Mahuli fort trek in Asangaon is the highest point in Thane district situated at 2,815 feet above sea level.
