Tory MP Matt Hancock has reportedly lost the whip of the Conservative Party after reports of him joining a reality TV show surfaced. Per reports, Hancock will be joining "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!"

The former Health Secretary of the UK will reportedly join the reality show's cast in the Australian jungle. The Conservative Party’s Chief Whip, Simon Hart, stated that he decided to suspend Hancock’s whip following a discussion with him. Hart said that Hancock's joining the ITV show was serious enough to warrant a suspension.

However, those close to the MP said that his decision to join the reality show was a result of his disappointment at not getting a cabinet berth. Another Hancock supporter said that since the former minister was not expecting any role in the new government, being on a popular show like I’m A Celeb... was a great opportunity for him.
