Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 1.22% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:09AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Divis Laboratories(up 3.19 per cent), Natco Pharma(up 2.39 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 2.08 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 1.76 per cent) and Biocon(up 1.56 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Gland Pharma(down 0.52 per cent) and Granules India(down 0.04 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was up 1.22 per cent at 13373.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 130.2 points at 18142.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 420.18 points at 61166.77.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Shares of , , PNB, JP Power and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , , Kalyani Forge, and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , , , and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
