Maharashtra: Two teens out for swim in Khed drown

PUNE: Two 15-year-old cousins, who entered a water body at Adgaon in Khed taluka for a swim, drowned on Sunday. Their bodies were recovered on Monday afternoon.
The Pimpri Chinchwad police have identified the victims as Shivam Gopale (15) of Adgaon and Sarthak Dhore (15) of Bhosari. A case of accidental death has been registered with the Chakan police.
Investigating officer Ganesh Wadkar told TOI that Gopale and Dhore were Std IX students.
“Their family members told us that they did not know how to swim. When they did not return home, their family went near the water body and found their clothes on the bank,” Wadkar said.
