Pokarna(up 9.67%), NMDC Ltd(up 4.86%), 20 Microns(up 1.85%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.48%), Aro Granite Industries(up 0.32%) and MOIL(up 0.06%) stood among the top gainers.
Oriental Trimex(down 6.22%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.03%), Ashapura Minechem(down 0.85%), KIOCL(down 0.31%), Dvpt Corporation(down 0.25%) and Coal India(down 0.12%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 133.2 points up at 18145.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 374.76 points at 61121.35.
Adani Enterprises(up 6.82%), Divis Laboratories(up 6.31%), NTPC(up 5.03%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.07%), Infosys(up 2.3%), Grasim Industries(up 2.3%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 2.29%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.22%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.16%) and Tata Motors(up 2.08%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Axis Bank(down 3.78%), UPL Ltd(down 1.81%), Eicher Motors(down 1.35%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.77%), Reliance Industries(down 0.77%), Tata Steel(down 0.34%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.24%), Enterprises(down 0.14%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.14%) and Coal India(down 0.12%) closed in the red.
